Default What is the best motor honey or thickest additive to put in to quiet down rod knock?

Trading my TBSS for a brand new Escalade that developed a slight rodknock after the oil pump **** the fan. Classic symptoms of pressure relief valve being stuck, literally as soon as the engine temp hits 210 degrees it loses all of its pressure and DIC says "stop engine now". Its my fault because I didn't check the oil or change it for over 18000 miles and frankly the truck is only worth 15 grand or so and we consider it a throwaway beater

Anywho, I've got a few cans of "motor honey" and classic STP oil treatment I'm about to dump in on top of a fresh fill of straight SAE 40W monograde oil. I want to tow it to about 1/4 mile away from a dealership and just pull in their lot and shut it off so it never gets hot. So if they start it, they wont notice the knock when its cold.

Thanks so much!

You want help on a public forum to commit fraud against a dealership to get rid of your $15,000 "throwaway beater" which you admittedly damaged due to improper maintenance?

Good luck...

Next owner might need it for primary transportation rather than a "throwaway" vehicle.

There's no amount of oil additive that will cover up stupid.

Just because you suck at vehicle maintenance, don't make a conscious decision to suck at life by scamming your **** up on to someone else.

If you can't or won't be a man and own up to your mistake, then at least settle for being human, and don't lie about the condition of the truck.

The real question is, how did the OP not get booted or banned after the first 490 "how to be a scumbag" posts?

The sad thing is that most people actually appreciate the TBSS and don't kill them with laziness and stupidity. Even if they are only worth $15k...

So you want to screw over a car dealer because of your stupidity? If you trade it in i hope the car you buy from them blows the motor to match you tbss. Karma always has a way of coming around.

P.S.- Im a car dealer and theirs far more good dealerships then their are bad ones.

This guy is just an @sshole, and is the very reason why buying a used vehicle is such a dubious task. It's shenanigans like this that give both dealerships and used car lots such a bad reputation.

Think about if this bag of duech actually found something to hide this tremendous problem? Now a dealership gives him "only" $15k for it, changes the fluids and filters, and sells it under the impression that the previous owner didn't totally F!ck them over.

Dealerships don't have time to fully tear down and rebuild every car, they don't check if you smoked your piston rings, bearings, and valvetrain from ****-poor maintenance. They put fresh oil in it, operating under the impression that you also, at some point (probably less than 18k mile intervals), had put fresh oil in it.

Then the dealership looks like they are shady for selling crappy cars, when you are literally the @sshole!
