Default Best bang for buck cylinderheads for 415 LS3

Hello,

Please recomend me set of cylinderheads for the 415 cid LS3.
Goal is to get +500 real life hp and as much torque as possible.
100% street driven. No wild cam or power adders.

GMPP has cnc ported LS3 heads about 1300 pair. Are they good?

The power is in the heads..... if you only want 500rwhp a set of stock LS3 heads with good valve springs will get the job done with a 11:1 or higher 416. If you want 50-75rwhp more... you want better heads.

For about $2400/pair you can get the Dart Pro1 LS3 heads that flow 370cfm..... Running a stock LS3 intake on them would be choking them a bit....

I'm pretty sure that stock LS3 heads and a stock LS3 intake will get you 500rwhp on a 415ci motor with a well spec'ed custom cam and a good exhaust.

Those Dart Pro1 heads have made 700hp at the flywheel on a 402... SpeedTrigger's build if I remember correctly.

I am a fan of cathedral port heads, so naturally I would suggest Tony Mamo's MMS 235's, but that requires a new intake an may not be at all what you are looking for.

Stock heads will flow over 1000whp FI. Your obviously not going FI, but a 415 LS3 can hit 500 easy with stock heads.

Bobby Stipkovic ran a 10.45 in a pretty much full weight TA with minitubs on a 416 LS3 stroker with STOCK LS3 heads (not ported).
