This is not true - LS7 heads use four bolts per cylinder. The problem is that LS7 heads require a larger bore than the LS2 block.

The LS2 has a 4.000" bore and the LS7 has a 4.125". And the LS2 can only be bored to 4.030". Can i use the springs, rocka arms, lifters and push rods on my LS2 heads?

Default LS7 heads on a LS2?

Correct. I am running a set of four bolt ET Performance LS7 heads on a resleeved LS2 block. Most LS7 heads require a minimum bore of 4.100. ET Performance make two LS7 heads. One will work on a 4.000 bore or larger.

You said you have the heads, right? Now all you need is some kind of block that will go over 4.1" bore, and you'll have something pretty hard to tangle with.

No, the rockers are offset, kind of like an L92. The lifters I know you can use, but I'm not sure about the pushrods or springs. I vote you get the heads and build an LS7!

Answers:
1) No, the intake valves are too large for a 4.00" bore. Yes, if you replace the seats and valves with 2.15" or smaller intake valves. Quite costly though.

2) Yes, if you shim them to the proper installed height.

3) No, and there's no need since the LS2 port is narrower.

4) Yes.

5) No, they are the wrong length for a stock LS2.

I remember a 14 year old thread being booted not long ago. This would be a question for GAtsma. He’s all about keeping tabs on this subject.
