Default LME 416 build *UPDATED 8/14/11*

I don't post a lot but i think this is worth posting.

Starting with a ls3 block that came out of a 2010 wrecked camaro from Cleveland pick-a-part.

Here a few pics of the e85 nitrous pistons I am going to run. These are Wiseco dome piston.

This pic is the rotating assembly all nice and packed up. Callies 4in crank and callies rods.

I got more parts coming from LME but they aren't ready yet. The cam is going to be a 257/266 on a 112lsa, TFS 245s with hand ported exhaust runners for nitrous, FAST 102/102 ported and port matched to the heads, and all the other odds and ends to convert over to LS3.

Are you starting out small on the gas and then hitting it with another stage or are you gonna pussyfoot around with that bad mama jama lol Just rufflin' your feathers a little. That is one bad *** motor and you have chosen some nice supporting odds and ends. I'm lovin' those Wiseco's...

I want to get the motor broken in first before i start spraying it. It should have more than enough hp at the wheels for awhile on motor, I am hoping fro 550rwhp n/a. I am hoping that it will make over 700rwhp on the nitrous.

Default LME Screwd ME

I had a bad experience with Brian at that joint, i order my first engine after years of hiatus from racing, after i had my kids, so i went out and bought a new gto i 06 and order the block, crank, rods, pistons, bearings, jesel rockers, timing chain, oil pump, oil pan, head gaskets and a bunch of related parts from the guy, he put the engine together for me and shipped it to me, i put it in the car took pictures every thing was new, but it would not start, took it to a near by GM dealer, all their techs looked at it and said there was no reason for it not to start, to take home, they just didn't know what to do, could not help me. At home still had the factory original engine so i look in the crank sensor hole and look in the other new engine and found were different, after asking around i determined i had to replace the reluctor wheel, I called Brian and he blame me, never took not even a 1% responsibility, claimed i had looked at the crank saw the reluctor wheel and and didn't tell him, never agree to help out with the cost of replacing it or the labor or nothing. Coming back to racing with out any new car involvement at all, i didn't even know of reluctor wheels, even less about different ones, i must also add he took advantage of me when he kept a set off head gaskets i bought from him and was to include it in the crate, when it didn't arrive i claimed it several times he never bothered to ship it to me. Since i had to disassemble the engine i paid him to put together, i found out that the head gasket i send out to him was only to be used in O ring applications, but he knew and never bothered to advise me, so he knew i just didn't now much, yet he claimed i knew about the reluctor wheel. You can draw your own conclusion. As for me, it was a very bitter experience, and this is something i had never talked about before, and i don't say it to bash anyone, but would had been nice if he was a stand up man who would do to others, as he would have others do to him.
It is a very bad idea to go across state line to buy an engine i could have bought by my house from a much better man.

That really sucks but I have never had single issue with LME and this is my second motor/build with them. They have always been helpful and have never screwed me over in anyway shape or form.

I also have two other buddies that have motors from there as well. One is a 402 and the other a 427 LSX low compression high dollar motor that has probably over 15k in parts to build, and has never had an issue.

If you wanted to rant about how the screwed you over you should have posted it in the vendor feedback section not in my thread!

I must say i didn't think this was the must appropriate place, just something was coming at his face, and for the record in the process i else found the double row timing chain after he ground the oil pump body to make room for it, he left it robbing against the oil pump body, and never bother to his work.

You think you have enough cam there?! 550rwhp should be doable especially with that much compression.

Like that dual stage plate... are hitting it with dual 100's? Why not an iron block so you can really hit it with a big shot?

Inside of a FAST 102mm, had to take the top shell off to drill a hole for the map sensor

Checking the port work from the intake to the heads, looked pretty good!

It was suppose to go into the car tonight but we couldn't get the rear oil galley barbell plug we needed, so we have to wait till monday. I cannot wait to fire this thing up!

Really digging the Jesel rockers. I have quite a few coming through the shop and they are dependable. Do have issues w/ rubbing on valve covers so you may want to check that closely. As far as LME goes. You have no worries. Have quite a few that have been installed in my customers cars and they still have a grin that can't be wiped off. Looking good.

Thats a nice build and it should haul ***. LME does a good job and stands behind there motors. Sounds to me like a miss communication on what the motor was for. Im not going to get in a pissing match but Bryan is a standup person and I am proof that they stand behind there products.
