LS2 block capabilities
Long story short, I picked up what was supposed to be an LY6 this past weekend. Next morning there is an aluminum engine in the back of my truck... It was an L76 after all, which has the LS2 block. I'm about 20% willing to sell and profit getting an iron block, and 80% of me wants to run the aluminum one. I'm not looking to drop 4k into the rotating assembly just yet, but seeing as my 4.8 takes 20+ pounds of boost regularly, I'm confident it'll last a while.
Question now is flex from the block itself...has anyone pushed it hard enough to figure out where the LS2 actually twists and distorts bores? I don't think my turbo will even make 20psi on a 6.0, maybe 17-18 before it chokes up. Looking for some insight with those from experience pushing these blocks to their limits.
