Finally installed my 823's
Installed the L99 heads on the LQ4 with .040 gaskets to make up for the dished pistons. According to my math, I'll have between 10.0-10.1:1 and .035 quench.
I ran out of time, because the rain killed my motivation. So i ended up not finishing this weekend. Gotta wait 2 more weeks to go finish it. BUT, at least i have all the parts now.
There was a **** load of carbon on the pistons too.

i think compression will be less more like 9.7-8:1 from all ive read. dont claim to be no expert but if someone can chime in on compression, please do so for everyone's benefit. that is why i am milling my heads .015 and using cometic .040s to put me at 10.1:1. will still perform good with moderately sized cam. good luck and thanx for posting on here....

Mod it baby....
823's.? are those rectangle ports? Damn. I want a set. I Know for a fact I would pick up some more ponies with a set rectangle ports. My old school 799 from MTI back from 2008 are holding me back a bit.
