Just call katech for their C5r timing chains. You'll be all good and won't need any spacers or grinding of timing cover to make it fit. G/L bud

I bought the SLP pump and double roller chain and didn't have any problems. I bought those so I didn't have to worry about an oil pump not working with a different chain.

I see a guy sells that same exact Katech chain for like $111.00 shipped. From Australia. Katech buys them from them. Chain is actually made in Germany.

Or just buy the C5R chain for $60.00.

I emailed John Loyd over there just now to get a price shipped....

I agree
Also you do not need a double chain. I don't really get why people want to run double chains they cause clearance issues and im pretty sure they arnt any stronger.

They're twice as strong. Probably something to do with having twice the chain.

They've got 3 links instead of two, so they're probably 50% stronger then a single. Sure they cause clearance issues, but that's part of building any engine. You have to make stuff fit... OR pay more for an inferior piece. Either way its moot because LS engines don't regularly throw chains unless there's another issue entirely

Double rollers do show benefits once you are working with a heavier valvetrain - especially big blocks and hard launches. I would suggest the Katech chains for an LS application, i believe they are the only company that can boast no breaks caused by the chain itself ever in the history of their design. Pretty impressive to say the least!
