12,xxx Miles, Change Valve Springs? Currently have around 12,500 miles on my G8 with PRC springs and a 223/231 cam, modifications in my signature. At what point should these springs be changed?
Happy Thanksgiving

Have them checked. Lots of factors at play and having them tested is the only way to be certain.

Checked, meaning send them to a machine shop?

I'd change em. New springs only around $100. Opinions vary but 1yr/12k is a personal rule of mine for springs with aggressive cams.

Good point. I forgot what I spent at Texas speed. But if I am going to pull the springs to check them. For 100$ I'll just replace them.
Thanks for the fast responses!

The kits are expensive (Seats, retainers), but the springs alone are very cheap.
