Lopey Cam for LS3 Headed LS2 for 69 Camaro
Currently building an LS2 with stock ls3 top end. I want a nasty sounding cam because it is going in a 69 camaro and would like to have that classic muscle car sound. What cam would be best to run so this thing sounds like a beast and still makes decent power.
Car is street driven only and will have a t56 6 speed and 3.90 gear
Thanks

I am just finishing up a L76 build, a LS2 bottom end with LS3 top end. I got a cam from Geoff at EPS 230/242 600/605 on a 113 lsa. I did clean up the exhaust ports just a little but other than that it's stock.
What intake are you running? Give Geoff Skinner a call at EPS, he will get you set up!

Ive ran a TSP Torquer 2 on my SS Lq9 Bottom End LS3 Top End and from Personal experience I loved that setup. It sounded mean and pulled nasty. I also had a T56 Trans with that setup. Good Luck with you choice

Once you get the hang of tuning choppy cams, it isn't impossible. You have to modify a lot of parameters of the idle to get it to work. A 109 LSA cam with a stock converter, 750 idle, good brakes, no push is a bit of work. The chop from the cam gives the car a little forward surge when creeping forward but it is just cam lope, not surging or push. There are few tuners that get it right from everything I have seen. There are plenty that can't get easy-cams to idle right with a stock converter. I spent months working on getting my first one to idle right, now it takes about a week with trans tuning. I can do it in a couple days but prefer to get several cold starts in to make sure it settles right. The computer likes to learn and if the learn parameters are off, it will walk away from something you thought you had right....

226/234 on 110 LSA 108 ICL EPS/LXL. That cam would probably work really nice with square port heads.

Nice Buick! I had a 72 GS with a 455/2004r street-strip that ran 11.40-60's, 10.70's on spray that turning into a trailer queen with a lot of nitrous and a glide,.... money pit. Sprayed 400+ and ran 5.50's 1/8 mile with it. A couple 8 sec 1/4 passes but kept those to a minimum since Buicks are always running on borrowed time. I sold the car and on to LS motors and tuning, much better....
