Default 2000 Camaro LS3 Build

Purchased a 2000 Z/28 around Sept. 2012. The car was a stock Z/28 A4 with 130,000 on the clock. LET THE MODS begin!!! First I ordered a set of Black C6 ZR1s 18x8.5" and 18x9.5" from OE Wheels. Next on the list was a SS hood and spoiler. Did the hood with a black manta stripe. Then installed SLP grille and whisper headlights. Then installed Strano springs. Pretty happy with the car now appearance wise.
Now on to the motor, Original plans were to just freshen her up and do H/C/I. Plans have changed and now doing a LS3 build after finding a new LS3 bare block at a great price. Then found a set of LS3 pistons and rods that were taken out of a crate motor that had never been fired and a low mileage l92 crankshaft. Purchased a complete LS3 intake from a local guy. And going with new LS3 head assembles with PRC .650 springs.

I have been speaking with Martin from Tick about my camshaft and about the CR I'm shooting for. Gonna be milling the heads .030 and using .040 head gaskets and flycutting the pistons to the necessary depth. Should be at about 11.5 to 1 CR.

Will be going with his Polluter Cam for the LS3
Specs are:
285/299@.006"
235/246@.050"
158/162@.200"
112.5lsa 110icl 115ecl
235/246 .621"/.595" 112.5+2

For the converter I got a Vigilante 3600 9.5" Single Disc Billet front cover. and 3.73 gears.

how she looked when I got her

wheels installed

hood, spoiler, grille

after strano springs

building my own 4" single catback, heres the merge I made

More pics to come as the build goes.........

Very nice. It looks ready to navigate the deep waters with that stance!
