Default Swapping from ls1 to ls2 platform

Swapping from ls1 to ls2 platform. What do I need to do so all the wiring works. I have a early ls2 so I think I just need to lengthen the wires for the black cam sensor. Not sure about the rest. [O4 GTO wiring and pcm]
Thanks Randall

nice 240 randal

you shouldnt have much problem, the early ls2 still had the 24x reluctor so you shouldnt have to run the lingenfelter box.

other than making the ahrness longer to reach to the valley cover vs side of the block I think thats about it. if you had a 58x reluctor then your crank and cam sensors etc would be different too but luckily you avoided that hassel.

Use the ls1 knock sensors and drill and tap the block for them to fit.The ls2 sensor don't work well with the ls1 computer.Go to ls1gto.com and do a search and you'll get some good info it.

I just completed this swap in an 04 Gto . What heads are you going with? You'll need the knock sensor and cam sensor harness extensions, as well as the ls2 style cam gear. I also had to extend my map sensor harness. I believe you will as well

AFR 230 heads and I already have the ls2 cam gear cloyes hex adjust. Its a 402 with callies crank and 24 reluctor wheel. Did U have to do any thing with tuning on knock sensors? R U using LS1 or LS2 knock sensors? What harness are U using?

Honestly, I just extended all my stock harnesses (cut, solder, shrink tube) and reused my ls1 knock sensors in ore existing mounting holes. I have a nice write up on ls1gto if your interested.
