Default Which ATI balancer for LS7 w/ vacuum pump?

All,

I need to sort out which ATI balancer I should run on my LS7 454ci and could use some input here.

There will be an electric water pump and no power steering so the only two belt driven items on the drive will be an alternator and a Moroso 4-vane vacuum pump.

Will I only run the alternator off the balancer pulley and then need something like this on the end of the balancer?

Looking at this currently:

Thanks for the help.

Call ati they will advise you on exactly what you need.

Bob at aei cnc makes a bracket for that pump that mounts it where the ac comp was.

It works with the specific hub that ati sells.

I got Tims stuff. Moroso 22641 pump and ATI 916037A hub w/ gilmer pulley and ATI 917073 damper shell. The gilmer pulley is behind the damper shell. Rob at ATI.

Oh, and the AEI bracket is sweet!

Thanks for the input, guys.

I got in touch with Bob at AEI this morning and he has me totally squared away! Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and his stuff looks incredibly well crafted.

Looks like he can set me up to run a standard ATI damper with a single belt for the vacuum and alternator. Both the vacuum and the alternator will be mounted under the heads on opposing sides of the engine. Keeping the weight as low as I can, wherever I can.

WIN WIN!

Mine has alt and vac pump on opposite sides but two belts. Don't see how it could be done with one belt.

I would go with the two belt setup. 1 belt you are asking for problems with the tension required to keep the alternator from slipping.

I misspoke yesterday. It's a dual belt setup and each mount features independent tension capabilities.

Really excited - going with a generic alternator and this route is going to save me considerable money!

One other question - where did you tie your vacuum pump into?

All those fittings and hose looks badass man!!
