Please help me figure this out!
So I bought a car a while back and there are something's im not understanding. The car is a 02' z28 and has a 403CID stroker ls2, patriot stage 3 heads, comp hydrolic 244/250 590/590 112lsa, lung tubes, ls6 intake and throttle body, and was tuned with HP tuners. Also the car has a wet kit on it also and was supposedly built for nitrous. Car made 445hp and 450tq on motor and we didn't spray today because I wanted to make sure it's safe first and try to figure out what's really in this motor. Is it just me or should this combo make a little more than that? The car has a manual transmission also. I know I am leaving some things out
Thanks!
Thanks!

Are the valves floating?
I had a very similar combo (404/Patriot 3's/TSP 244/248 cam - mine was 10.8:1) that made 471whp but would have made more if not for valve float around 6k rpm.

I will ask the previous owner what the comp ratio is. It wasn't specified in the add and I have to be honest, I was so excited about the car I probably forgot if he told me. The exhaust is straight 2 3/4" with two flowmasters and turndowns. We revved it to 6700 and it really died out after 5500.

yeah the slowmasters aren't helping. And that's strange for your cam to start dropping off so early, unless it's the lift or maybe the cam isn't degree'd right, but Im not too good when it comes to that, maybe someone can chime in on that. Heck I have a small cam and mine peaks at around 56 to 5700. It's way smaller then your's but my lift if higher. Just doesn't seem right for that big of cam of yours.
