Those Dart Pro 1 Heads are pretty awesome.

What lifters are you using? It says Cam Motion in the article? Did you go with a Bushed lifter? Or a needle bearing? Any concern for longevity? Or is the LLR mild enough to not worry?

The LLRs are mild enough not to worry. But, these lifters have pressure axle oiling. So, double insurance.

No. These lifter are manufactured in Florida by some guys that used to work for Crane Cams. Kip has the hookup on these.

Are you going to the private track rental on November 8th?
I've already sourced some ported L92's and other top-end stuff and decided that I wanted the 402 over the 408 for the weight savings (what's 6 cubes right!).

I had planned to go to the MM shoot out and heard about the track rental. My S60 is on order and I took my car for a spin this weekend and the old 10 bolt was making 'some new weird noises' so I don't want to risk it blowing and taking out my trans. I may ride up to watch though...

Man! As cast heads making 700hp on a small block and pump gas. That's pretty sweet.

I wonder how much these heads would pick up in ported form?

Also, I want to give a big thumbs up to the Daytona Sensors Smart Spark ignition system. It performed flawlessly while our MSD 6010 ignition box was acting up. It exhibited excellent spark all the way to 7500 where the test ended.

What do you have going on with the bolts on the valvecovers? Those are Proforms, right?

Yes. I went with different bolts and different rubber backed washers. The allen bolts and washers that came with the valve covers kept loosening up. One actually fell out. These are hanging in there nicely.

Exact covers I have and the same problem, I used blue locktite on new stainless allen bolts and thicker rubber washers but am going to go to rubber backed metal washers when I do the proform vent mod.

I got the rubber-backed steel washers from Home Depot believe it or not. So far, so good.

Good to know, thanks. I have the same ones but haven't used them yet. Looks like I'll be looking for bolts and washers.

Here is what I used for sealing washers:

You can use whatever bolt suits your fancy. I like the look of the flanged bolts.

Get with me on your engine. I have an idea of what killed it.

What total timing did you end up with and were you still on the TR6 plugs?

We started at 26 degrees timing and kept increasing until the engine stopped making more power and wanting more fuel. The engine did not make any more power on 32 degrees than it did on 31 degrees, so we stopped there. The plugs for the dyno session were TR6. We will see how they look after 1320' of heat.
