“Little Beast” 707 HP 403” Pump Gas LS2 with LLR & Dart LS3 Heads
The engine labs article on my new engine is finished and I am proud to share the results.
It is an 11.5:1, pump gas 403" LS2 with Cam Motion LLR Street Solid Roller and the new Dart Pro1 LS3 cylinder heads topped of with a Edelbrock Victor Jr..
Here is a pic of the finished product on the dyno and a link to the article:
Very nice! May I ask why you elected to go with the Vic Jr. as opposed to a Super Victor, or even a MAST intake? Do you think there would be significant gains going from a Vic Jr. to a Super Victor?

The Victor Jr. was chosen primarily for hood clearance reasons. On Dart's 440", test engine, the Super Victor with a 4500 Dominator carb was worth about 20 horsepower at 7500 RPM over the Victor Jr..
I figured it had something to do with clearance, but figured I'd ask anyway. Is this setup going in the car in your signature?
Yes it is.

That might be possible if the car had 4.30-4.56 gears and a 8" stall converter. But, this car now has a 3.73 geared S60 with a Circle D 245mm nitrous stall converter.
Holy crap Steve...I just ditched my 408 build last week for a LS2 402 shortblock. After seeing this post, now I am convinced I'm headed in the right direction and will be 100# lighter. I'll be seeing you at BMP

So much for the LS3 heads don't work on a 4" bore argument eh? LOL
Are you going to the private track rental on November 8th?
That would be interesting to see. I have never engine dynoed somthing then wheel dynoed the car. The car has a 245mm Circle D Nitrous converter (maybe 3200 stall n/a?) and an S60 with 3.73 gears. At 7300 RPM, it should have some serious wheel speed on the dyno. LOL
Nice build....cool parts selection for sure
My favorite is the carb/plenum modded Vic Jr. intake. The old Rat motor trick was to run a Dominator carb on a square flange Strip Dominator intake. The two inch thick adapter promoted throat and plenum velocity which is key in a short runner application for street ability and throttle response.
Bet your combo might like an AED 9375.....

I bought a 1000 CFM main body for my existing carb and I have a Bob Book prepared Lil' Bo to try at the track.
We tried to run the Lil' Bo on the dyno, but it needed bigger jets and we did not have any that big. LOL Minor oversight. Even thought it was crazy lean when we tried it, it was consuming over 50 CFM more air during the pull. So we know it is going to like more carb for sure.
