Default Do these heads look salvageable?

This is the head that came off of my ls3 that had the piston shoot out the side of the block. Anyone think these heads are salvageable based on the photo?

Hard to tell from this photo. How deep are the gouges? Is there any damage to the sealing surface around the edge of the combustion chamber?

Default Head C/C's

Yes, they look fine as pictured.
As stated, take out the two valves, send a picture.

You can use a Deep Socket over the retainer, hit with a hammer, support the Valve Head with a rag.
The Keepers will fall out of position.

Those are definitely salvageable. I have seen a lot worse than that.

Those heads aren't bad at all. Shave them, clean up the deep marks some and do a valve job.
When you have holes and missing portions is when it gets sketchy.

one of my 799s was worse, just clean up sharp edges, surface them, and check the valve seats for good sealing...should be good to go

The dent on the top can be welded then milled.
