Default Unleaded race fuel

Ok, I called vp about what race gas is best to run on small bolt ons and they referred me to ms109. They said it wont harm your cats because its unleaded. Is this true? I would love to hear your opinion on ms109. Is it sage to run in my car? Thanks!

Why do you want to run race gas with bolt ons?

Same reason spec miata guys run Sunoco 104 unleaded, it runs better and its consistent unlike pump gas... VP does have some magic sauce that will let you max out what youve got without too much worry about ping... Race gas does not have the VOC limiter chemicals in it so it atomizes better and you get more consistent mixture. Its easy to see just pour a teaspoon of race gas on a cookie sheet and watch how fast it evaporates compared to pump 92... You DO have to tune to get the bang for the buck out of it though so don't MIX it with pump gas please you may as well set your money on fire in the parking lot.

No.......it won't.

Unleaded 'race' fuel is fine for racing.....but I wouldn't use it exclusively in a street driven car......

Stay away from the leaded fuel. If you you must do race fuel do unleaded.

i will never put lead fuel in any of my cars. my question is, if im tuned for ms109, does that mean i have to run that fuel until i get tuned back to 93?

Ok I see. I can't say for sure, but if you're tuned for 109 then yes you must continue with it until it's tuned for 93. I'd suggest you plan your route in advance to your tuner. Make it so that you are as empty as possible on arrival. Then fill it with 93 and get it retuned

There is about a 5% difference in fueling in the tune. Could you flip flop back and forth, yeah most likely with no issue.
