Any aluminum flywheel that will work with the LS2 clutch will work with the LS7 clutch.

Is there any reason I can't use the Mcleod aluminum flywheel and Corvette clutch I am currently rynning on my LS1/6 engine on an LS7 engine? It may not hold the torque but will it fit?

Yes, it is PN 198171 [13 Pound Aluminum Flywheel] for LS2 6.0L 2005+
How do you balance this for the dynamically balanced LS7? I understand that if you replace an OEM LS7 flywheel with another OEM one the balance weaight must also be transfered? Please advise.

John,

From your post is sounds like every LS7 comes with a unique amount of balance in the flywheel and clutch assembly. If that is the case, then you would simply take your stock flywheel and clutch assembly along with the Fidanza flywheel and new LS7 clutch and tell them to match balance the Fidanza assembly to your original flywheel and clutch.

I'm under the impression that you can balance the rotating assembly of an LS7, if you have it apart of course, and you would just need to balance the clutch/flywheel seperately before bolting them on. Is this correct?
