Default Katech, which fuel rail/injector spacer kit?

I was browsing your site and it just brought me up to a question, if you have the L76 intake kit, which uses LS2 fuel rails and LS7 injectors, which kit would we need? You list one for LS2s and one for LS7s. Wasn't sure if it was based on injectors or rails. I will be using the L76 intake, LS2 fuel rails, and SVO 42s. Thanks.

I've never mocked it up with an L76 intake I don't have one here. Do you have all the parts now? Can you install it and tell me if the mounting tabs line up to the intake and how high the spacing is?

Whoever put the kit together, GM I'm assuming, uses the L76 intake, LS2 rails, and LS7 injectors. So to offer them as a kit, they all have to work together. In other words, yes, the fuel rail tabs line up perfectly with the intake mounts. I got rid of the injectors already. If I had to guess, I would think I would need your LS7 kit, since it was setup (spacing/location) for LS7 injectors.

I would guess that also. That will space your rail up 1.000"

Dragaholic, post some pics of your L76 intake with the rail conversion. I'm looking at the Professional Products fuel rails for my L76 intake. I plan on using Venom 84LB LS1 style injectors with these rails for $69.00 add the LS2 Katech conversion kit...

LOST HERE. Can you install a Ls7 intake on a LS1 with Ls1 tbody and fuel rails. Is there a good part to this setup or is it cheaper and better to go with fast???

no... we are talking about a L76 intake which mates to L92 heads. Neither will work on a standard bore LS1, sorry... But you can use aftermarket LS1 throttle Body's on the L76 intake with LS2 style rails and LS7, LS2 and or LS1 injectors with the right conversion kit.

This sort of reminds me of the old Abbott and Costello skit of "who's on first"...

Sort of related... Useing LS1 style injectores with the L76 and LS2 fuel rail, the Katech LS2 kit does not work, the LS7 kit works. LS2 kit's spacers were to short.

That's what my guess was. Thanks for the confirmation. Did you have personal experience with this?

You can do most anything with a lS1 fuel rail if you cut out the crossover and put hose in it's place. Can make spacers out of tubing.
I made one up for my LS76 and EV1s.

So with the L76 do you think I should buy the LS1 or LS2 aftermarket rails with the LS1 style injectors? Do they bolt up in the same location on the intakes?

Thanks Frank

What ever you do you will have to use spacers and bend the tabs. It is not a big deal but unless you get custom rails--

I used FAST LS2 fuel rails with my L76 intake. I cut the cross-over tube and used a piece of hose as a temporary system. I had to keep tightening the hose clamps to keep it from leaking. The LS2 fuel rails come with some adapter brackets that mount to the manifold.

On a C5 you have to notch the file wall for the drivers side rail.

Mine is a 98 and I kept the return style setup.

Will the LS2 fuel rails be sufficient in supporting 600 rwhp? At what point do you need to upgrade to an aftermarket? What gains will you see with aftermarket fuel rails even if they are not needed yet?

WKMCD, the Fast rails with the Aeromotive regulator looks killer on that L76. Thanks for the info.

Dragaholic, the aftermarket rails just have a bigger flow capacity and can support more HP with a bigger fuel pump reducing pressure losses from heavy flow. You should be OK with 600HP and stock rails.
