sources for LS2 crate engines, electronics and accessories
Greetings,
I'm not sure I'm in the right section but I'm looking for sources for a crate LS2 plus the electronics and basic accessories like the starter and alternator.
This is a scratch build so I need everything to get it running.
This engine is going into an airplane so there are no emissions controls, A/C, traction control, etc.. I need the simplest and most reliable setup possible.
400 HP is plenty so I don't need performance mods for now but I definitely need all the reliability I can get.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
JC

Thanks for the info and great pictures! That Mustang replica is awesome!
We think the LS2 will be more than strong enough the way it is. In our plane it will be loafing most of the time and we'll only be pushing it a little during aerobatics and even then we will try to keep it well below the redline.
When we started with the design we were going to use a 200 HP V6 but when we found out that the LS2 was not much heavier we decided to tailor the design for this engine.
More power is always better as long as it doesn't bring on too much weight.. I guess this applies to any vehicle but in planes it's particularly important.
Thanks again!
