what kind of intake set up is this ? just thought it looked crazy and havent seen any thing like this on ls1tech

It is a Kinsler Individual throttle body intake. Do a search for ITB intakes and you'll see plenty of threads on them. I've got one myself, although I haven't used it yet.

i also have a harrop ITB setup. i havnt used mine either but in the next week or so i will fire the car up for the first time in three years.

As others mentioned its an ITB setup. Gives you instant throttle response and makes monster cams idle like nearly stock not to mention the power gains. The downside is filter setups are tricky and its a real bear to tune a car with an itb setup especially without any previous experience.
