Was that the mustang that wrecked? If so hopefully he was okay, looked like he got lose right at the 1/4 mile traps and nosed in the wall, seemed like he didn't have any luck this year, but last year I remember the car doing really good!

Thanks guys. I had bad luck indeed this year. I think the water pump was on the fritz. The car over heated pretty bad on the ts drive and ran very bad on the three runs.
We let it cool, changed the plugs and put fresh water in the radiator. I went and drove it around a bit and it seamed fine.
So we went up to make a pass and the temp started to creep up a little at the burn out box. It was not crazy high so I let'r rip. It was on its way to a low 9 sec pass when all hell broke loose.
On the small bright side, I own a body shop and can fix this for very little money but lots of time. About 60+ hours to fix all of it and get it in paint.
I hope to have this fixed by the shootout.

GoPro in car.

Glad you were ok, it was scary just watching it.
I thought you did a great job driving it when all hell broke loose.

Oh no, I had a buddy say a mustang wrecked and I asked if it was yours but he couldnt tell me. That sucks! Ive always liked your car a lot. Glad to hear you are ok and can fix it. I heard there was water on the track before you went down.

LS Fest hasn't been very good to me either, I blew up my car first pass on motor with no spray. Still had a fun weekend

I tried my best to keep it out of the other lane. I knew there was another car over there. As I was spin around I kept looking for him. You can see me looking in the video.

I think the motor is ok. I'm going to do a comp check and a leak down to see if a head gasket is blown.

My dad thinks its from another car. I would hate to think it was someone else s fault. But the lady at the end of the track said a car left a puddle at the time slip booth and another car over heated on the return road right before me. So it is entirely possible that someone else could be at the cause of the water.
My buddy said a guy went right before me in that lane and had no problem.

So I'm gonna chalk it up as my car was at fault. Because I really don't know for sure. And do not want to put the blame on anyone else.

I can tell you that I've had that car on several tracks with dew on them at night and was a skating rink at 130+ mph and have save it many many of times. There was no saving this one. It snapped around to quick.

A lot of people had bad luck this past weekend. I hope it goes better at the shootout.

I'm glad you're OK. It stunk seeing them pull it back to the pit. Hopefully you can get it back for the shootout.

Sorry to see things like this happen. Good thing you are ok. Hopefully it's not to bad and it can be fixed in short order. You were pitted not far from me, I meant to get over and see what happened but didn't get the chance.
You think you might have it done before Indy? Hope to see you there

That was my friend Jason McClure in the red Camaro beside you. He is a seasoned drag racer, but said he never witnessed an accident right in front of him. He had the presence of mind to shut off your power then check on you. Glad you are OK. Sounded bad from the staging lanes.

I know I made the pass right before you(not sure if it was the same lane or not) but I know my car didn't leak anything or over heat all weekend. (I check my puke tank between rounds.

yeah I Was coming around the return road headed to the ticket booth when they all went running to the ambulance. Glad to see your ok. Car can always be fixed
