Default new z28 ower, need some help...

i just bought a z28 a4.
i wanted to know, what are the best mods on this car.

i bought this car completely stock. i just did a full tuneup. oil,oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs and wires.

im running royal purple oil.and k&n air filter

the mods im looking in to are:
headers, exhaust, and maybe some cams. for now.

can u guys tell me what's the best route and/or brands to go with..

thanks in advanced..

I'd say it costs a little more then that especiallly if you dont install it yourself, I would say almost double that.

NOS and a ton of stickers to boost hp way up!!! lol just kidding man...unless you plan on racing it i would go with the catback first or headers and catback first...that could be done for under a grand...for a stall and cam you're lookin at much, much more money

You might want to go with some good suspension parts first, including good tires if needed. That way, all these HP upgrades won't kill you, first time you seriously drop the hammer. Search the forums here for opinions on brands and types.
Just food for thought.

yes, it will run a bit higher...i have 373s and i think they are perfect, not too high, not too low...but if you are gonna get a stall you should do that first...personally, unless you are gonna be racing it all the time i would just get the gears...my .02

im not really liking the hole stall thing cus im using the car for a daily and every one tells me that the stall is really good but that it gets to be a pain if u are using as a daily. ill be racing but not on a daily thing. i just like whooping my bros g all the time. lol now hes gonna do some more upgrades to keep up with me. my bad went a lil off topic so the 373 will do good with out the stall? cuz my car right now wont launch as hard as i want it to.

i hav a mag article ls1 dos & donts. pm me a fax # if you'd like. basically, if you have wheel hop when you burnout get SFC sub frame connectors and LCA's lower control arms. first mods are air lid, catback. after that you choose between headers , stall, sticky tires, then get a tune. A/F (tune) needs to be around 13:1 for performance. goodluck, welcome cheers! ps things like headers and if you get a 85mm maf sensor will lean out the A/F so get a tune to correct / improve performance.

yeah man, get the 373s, pacesetter headers (very very easy to install and great result!) and a good catback, an air lid with the fast toys ram air kit (optional but nice to have) and a decent tune...or grab an out-of-the-box programmer...that way you can adjust shift points and firmness, rev limiter, things like that...i have a hypertech power programmer 3 (cuz thats the only kind that works for a 98 with out a fancy dyno tune) and it works out great for a daily driver that gets put to the test from time to time...if you have any other questions feel free to pm me or email me at nick_rapitis@msn.com!

A stall is not bad at all for a DD. I have had 2 A4 and both were stalled and driven everyday. Unless you get a huge stall you wont even notice it. 3200-3600 would be perfect. I wouldnt just throw gears in with no other mods. check to see what gears you have now 2.73 or 3.23 ... Headers, cat-back, lid, ls6 intake .....for a start.
