New to tech with '00 A4 SS (pics included)
What's up guys, just took delivery of my SS about a day ago and I love it so far. Tons of power, sounds great (even though it's stock), decent stereo (actually questioning whether or not it has the stock subs or not, sounds abnormally good for a factory Monsoon setup) and it's just a great overall package for the money. The car is a 2000 and has 67,533 miles on it as of today.
But, it does have a few issues due to the treatment it had to go through with the previous owner. It basically sat outside under a tree in SC for about 2 1/2 years straight, was never driven during that time period really. I guess the owner just decided he was done with it and to not bother it. So as expected, it has a lot of swirls and light surface scratches all over the paint (still looks very good until you get up on it). But, the interior is in pretty much perfect shape. Other issues besides the paint would be that the door needs to be re-aligned with the front quarter panel (fixing that tomorrow), the headlights need to be restored and basically all of the rubber weatherstripping on the car needs to be replaced due to the bad sun exposure it's gone through. Mechanically it's perfect, shifts like a champ and the motor feels very nice. Just needs a little TLC and it will be perfect.
Onto the pics, as said before I love this car, it's excellent so far.

Thanks, and yeah, I'm loving it already.
Thanks man.
I agree with you. They still run respectably for their age, even in bone stock form. Especially when you compare them with the cars they competed against at the time they were new.
As for mods, not too much. Right now, I want to just really put my money into getting it back into tip-top shape. The previous owner didn't take care of it and I really just want to restore it back to perfection before I start getting into the aftermarket stuff. It's not in bad shape at all as is, but I know it can be better and I want to get it there.
