New owner of 99 Trans Am M6 MBM
Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and the LS1 world. I have owned a pretty much stock 89 Camaro RS with the 305 and T-5 for a few years now and came over here from thirdgen.org after buying a 99 Trans Am. After reading up a bit on my car, it seems I have a pretty rare find. It's a 99 MBM Trans Am with the T-56. It has the SLP intake, Pacesetter headers, Texas Speed ORY, Corsa catback, American Racing Rebel rims, BFG tires, SLP shifter and a Panasonic DVD touchscreen headunit. It currently has ~129000 miles on it.
I have to fix the common issue of the misaligned shift fork for reverse gear. It currently has to be held in or it pops out and grinds. I also have to get the rear O2's coded out because of the ORY. Other than that, it's a pretty solid car.
I live in Delaware County, PA, so if anyone knows of any meets around here or can help at all with the above issues, feel free to message me!

Thanks! I still have to fix a few things on it and do some work to my other car before I consider a new hood for the TA. Most everything I would have done to start out is already done so that saves me some work. I'm just glad to have a muscle car with more than 170HP. Gotta love the 305 v8....

The motor is stock as far as I know. Not sure on the 6 speed. I read somewhere that only 26 MBM TA's were M6 and only 157 were produced in this color total. I'll have to check numbers at some point.

Thanks! It's in the shop now waiting for the trans to be pulled apart and worked on. After that it will be tune to delete cats and some other stuff and inspection. I probably won't be driving it until Spring, but it will definitely be a fun car!
