Default 5th F-Body 1st LS1

Hi, I am from Southern California. I have owned a few f-bodies:
1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
1991 Camaro Z28
1992 Camaro RS Convertible 25th Anniversary Edition
1997 Camaro SS 30th Anniversary Edition

About two weeks ago I finally bought a Camaro that I have wanted for a long time. Its a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS 6 speed. I think I found a pretty great car, always garage kept with less than 40K original miles.

Nice being a member of the f-body & SS families now the LSX family as well

Thanks

Very cool man. How does this current car compare to your older ones?

Definitely a different ride but a nice one I do miss some of my other f-bodies and the last car I had. But this is a car I remember wanting since it was brand new

Welcome to the LSX family lol. I can relate, I had a 79 Trans Am, 79 Camaro and 88 Trans Am before finally getting my 4th gen WS6 with an LS1 in it.

I haven't looked back since!

Was wondering about the 92 25th Anniversary Edition. I have a 91 RS I"m doing a swap in but really tried to find a 92. Couldn't find a decent one anywhere close to me. Hope you still have it..

Unfortunately all of the f-bodies are on to other owners. I do regret letting a few go, I really would have held onto the 30th Anniversary SS if it was a 6 speed, but after too many breaks I decided the car wanted a different owner. This one has to be one of the most stock f-bodies I have owned in a long time, in fact it just rolled over 40K last week!

BTW - is there a rule on PMs vs posts? Meaning do you have to have so many in order for them to keep sending? I have sent a few out the last couple weeks to different members and have yet to get a response from them; I have verified that they are in my sent messages, and that those members have logged in since I sent the messages.

Looks like PMs are working again after I deleted all of my inbox and sent, I was way below the max of 100 and I wasn't receiving pictures either but who knows

I have gotten to some maintenance basics like oil change and fuel filter change. Ordered up some SLP parts from Maryland Speed like the Smooth Bellow and Cold Air Duct, and installed a dry aFe Filter.
