Default New to v8 power

Hi all,
Just traded my Honda for an 01 Trans Am m6. I must say I'm in love with this thing and have no idea why I played around with 4 cylinders and thought they were fast for so long! Some quick pics:

WELCOME!!!! FEllow Red Trans Am.....moving from a Honda. very nice upgrade. mileage?? look up the CETA mod. since I did it I haven't looked back. im sorry you have ASR. any plans???

I notice you are located in south east PA. May 4th there is a LSX dyno day in Columbus. not sure if that is too far of a hike for you but there should be tons of LS cars and will be a blast. I should be going.

mileage is about 130xxx but motor and trans were rebuilt about 15k ago, reverse is a rear bear to get into already though
I would love to cruise up for a dyno day but unfortunately its the day I'm driving home 4 hours from college.

it was never dyno'd but its got a decent parts list including:
-slp lid
-slp 85mm MAF (I know people say these are pointless but it was included)
-ported ls6 intake
-ls2 springs
-possibly ls2 cam but idk how this is possible for an ls1 (could anyone shed light)
-Slp Tuned headers with new Hi-flow cats
-Magnaflow exhaust
-Luk clutch
-4.10 gears w/ mac cover
-street tuned by local shop

Haha, now you know torque isnt just for lug nuts anymore!

Could be an LS2 cam I suppose if the changed the timing chain set. But the LS2 cam isnt as big as an LS6 cam nor is it really very often used in an LS1, so I dont know why they would do that, but it could be better than stock I assume.

Thanks! and yeah having such great low end torque is such an amazing thing now i know why people that have v8's make fun of four bangers. I yeah about the ls2 cam i haven't had time to dig around yet as I'm at school but i forgot to mention it had 1.85 rocker arms. Runs great so can't complain about whatever is in it for the price.
