back in a vette, my xmas present to myself C5 427 ls7 Built
Hello,
getting back into the vettes. i picked up this car yesterday...probably the steal of the century. (previous owner told me all about the car today and i got all the parts squared out)
in short... 427 ls7 block, forged internals, heads/cam
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...em260195408227
looks better in person. now im signing back up here to i can learn about whats inside this thing. I've been working with mph motorsports to help me get a couple more hp out of her (not that it needs it...but why not!?) i can tell you it would kick the crap out of my former srt-10 viper...
thanks for having me and have a great holiday!
Josh

asian cars pay my bills, i love them (not honda's...subarus specifically)
I spoke with the former owner today its everything we thought it was (and more) the guy is a nut for corvettes he's owned 30 of them and he has a new z06 and some classic muscle as well (he has about 6-8 cars all very nice in his stable) basically he was an engine builder in the 70's and is very very knowledgable. every piece of the motor is new. has a new radiator setup, built tranny setup, factory z06 wheels, z06 suspension with bilsteins, z06 brakes etc.. i figured it would blow up on the way home...but after talking to the former owner, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. i drove it around today all day with the ac on. it runs nice and cool.
and if talking to him wasn't enough...he gave me every receipt to prove it
im more excited now then i was when i was 5 years old and my parents got me a nintendo.

yeah i would be.
the buy it now price is real good.
( probably the steal of the century)
i can't argue with that. there is a boat load of time and money in that car.
i can argue trading that car for a hertz shelby. those cars are what 300hp
flywheel or so. although if he does it like the vette and throws money at it and gets bored that car may be the next steal of the century.

well he has a new z06 modded, some older camaro's/chevelle's with 427's...a c4 vette that goes 10's...he said he was driving this vette once a month with all the other cars he has. he believes with the low production #'s on the hertz car it will be worth $ some day. fine with me...his loss is literally my gain.
and ugh...with all the $ i've lost on previous cars...its about time i dont get owned!

just got back from xmas vacation...it was also hand ported and tuned by formato.
we are thinking some larger headers (american racing) and an intake tube will up the HP
car also does have catalytic converters...
