Whats up from Chicago?!
Hey all...just joined the other day. Great site.
I am starting on an LQ4 swap into my '81 Malibu. Plans include some sort of cam and possibly L92 heads, L76 intake. This will be mated to a T56 to 3.42 gears. The car had a 388 with Accel DFI, but its time to upgrade!

I have to have Snap-on ratchets...cant stand craftsman's. I do like their polished wrenches however and ill buy their sockets because a socket is a socket...sorta.
By the way...I brought the LQ4 home today and this is my first hands-on with the LS motors. I yanked the intake and couldnt believe how easy it came off! Re-usable rubber gaskets rock! Pulled the valley cover and got my lift plate bolted on. That took a whole 20 minutes tops. Swapping an intake on these motors is pretty much a joke seems like. In the good way that is.

I like Craftsman tools what can I say... Snap ons are good too though.. I've only wrenched with Craftsman tools my whole life, and so far so good... Not a lot of knuckle busters with Craftsman..
Hate the old slip while torquing down on a wrench and boom knuckles slam into the metal of the car.....OUCH and blood!!!! We've all been there and hate it....
