A "Cadillac Cam" will really help. There was a thread on a guy installing one if you do a search. That'd be the cam I'd put in if I ever did one, since I'm not looking for an insane amount of power, just around 300 like you. That, and a real tune!

well i was looking at LE1 package, but i'm not sure im on a budget and i know its pretty expensive to do it right meaning rebuild engine, and pay someone to do it.
what power gain will i see with doing 1.6 RR new pushrods, and beehive valve springs?

I have a MOROSO CAI, and i have the HYPERCRAP, but when i had my car DYNO'd the guy said my A/F is dead on with the hypertech!
Do you think i can get more out of a dyno tune or mail order tune?

Since the le2 package (assuming the le1 does too) comes with new springs.. Then while it's all taken apart get everything put in at once. I don't THINK you have a stall either. That'll help you out as well(not with dyno, but with track #'s it will)

1.6 RR's, Electric waterpump, UD pulleys, Double roller timing chain, LT's dumped. These should get you close, but since you're an A4 it will most likely take a small cam to get you there along with a convertor

**** i might as well wait and get the LE1 package!!!
Can i stroke it out to a 383 with the LE1 package?
Also will the 4L60E hold the power? it was recently rebuild stock with new updates and a HD2 shift kit?
Also WHAT MAIL ORDER TUNE SHOULD I GO WITH?

if your going to stroke it and do forged sutff then go with the LE3 lol...the LE1 package is lightweight stuff anyways...for stocker motors that want to stay very streetable.. with 383 and forged stuff and being balanced you should be able to run the LE3 stuff... if you go this far then do a fine tune/dynotune
as for now the tune just go through madz28

If you're gonna stroke it out to a 383 i'd forge it (never know what you'll want to do it in the future, it will allow you to put boost on it if you like, more spray, or a bigger cam that you can spin higher) But it will definately cost you some cash. And while you're doing it, you'd be better off just getting atleast the le2 heads and a good size cam.
As far as mail order tunes go, i got mine from ion (madtuner.com) he's a good guy. I havn't put my motor back together yet so I can't put my .02 in yet..But I hear good things about him and pcmforless.com
