Had a nitrous backfire, need suggestions on what to check out.
I went to the track last night and had a terrible time overall except for a new best MPH. On my first run, I bogged hard and went WOT to pull out of it. Right as I did this I heard the BANG and saw my ram air grills fly out the hood. I pulled over immediately and took a look at the visual damage. Nothing appeared to have been messed up except my hood cracked a bit at the very front.
The nitrous is pilled to activate at 3k so I don't know why it would try to engage that low. I'll have to look into this and not bog next time :/ .
Later that night I came to realize that the first runs pop screwed up the throttle body cable and it came loose on my last run.
Besides that, what things should I immediately check to ensure they are in good shape. I'm assuming I should at least take apart everything up to the intake manifold and inspect? The car actually ran fine after the backfire and made a few full nitrous passes without issue before the throttle cable snapped.
Any help would be very appreciated.

I should have a 3600 pill somewhere so I'll be sure to grab that.
Aside from that, can the MAF take a good blow through? Oddly enough the car did run fine but that doesn't mean something bad didn't happen.
I'm simply asking for suggestions that I would not necessarily think to check out.

I assume its the LT car? Intake is probably fine, but just check around it and all of the vacuum hoses for any damage. Most of the pops I've seen bent the wires on the maf. Just yank it out and inspect.

Thanks for the tips Nick. Yes this was the LTFun car and I will prob. be going through it tonight to check things out. I've been running through my head what to check so I will make a list.
- EGR & AIR block-off plates
- PCV Valve
- Vacuum Lines
- MAF
- Intake box
- Throttle body blades
Again, I hopefully lucked out on this one and will prob set the activate rpm a little higher to avoid this from happening again.
