Default Texas Mile teaser-- LG Motorsports Twin Turbo Z

Hi Guys,

This car has been in the making for a few months now, but we have been pretty quiet about it for a few reasons as we were not sure if we would make it to the mile. well, we are ready! Our only goal at this point is to go over 200. Anything more than that will be icing on the cake. To this day, there is only one C6 over 200, and thats Norms Yellow car

The basic build is:

07Z
LG Spec APS Twin turbo kit ( 2x GT35R + some)
Stock LS7 block
Callies Magnum crank
Billet Rods
Mahle pistons
9:1
Stock 4 bolt LS7 heads
LG G7xT turbo cam
Speed inc Base 2.5 bar tune ( Thanks jim!)
LG Motorsports modular fuel system ( support up to 2000 hp)
96# injectors
A lot of tuning and a lot of hard work by everyone at LGM
Meth kit, but not used for these runs.

The car will NOT hook up on the dyno on medium boost ( 16 psi) as you can see by the dips and lack of peak power. It will make it, but my rollers are very worn out and it spins just past peak Tq. Im prepared for 18-20 psi, and we picked up ~ 40 rwhp with each pound of boost from 12-16.

Things to note- 1000 rwtq@ 3700.

700 rwtq@ 3000.

The low () power pull of 700/700 is on the waste gates which is ~ 7.5 psi.

I will post more pics when I get a chance, but I thought some of you would like this

Hope to see some of you out there!!

Louis

Nice work Louis sorry I won't be there to show you my car and see yours etc... I wanted to make the mile the car is geared for 220+ but I haven't been able to get everything done in time with my regular job and family etc... should make 200 pretty easy GL! Is Shawn going also?

Good luck Louis. Wish I could watch and run. I'll put a guess at 218+ for this build in the mile. (edit IF you turn the wick up on the engine!!!)

Ill post pics here soon.

The bumps are from the lack of traction on the dyno. The gates are gradually opening ( those familiar with the EB2- my GP is set to .5 ) and it still hazes the tires on medium boost.

Keep the detonation out of it, and it will live at this power level. 79 dyno pulls, ~ 25-30 all over the 900 whp mark, and leak down is 1%, and plugs look like a champ.

There were some complications with getting the LSx together for it, so this is all I had. Its a great shortblock, but it lacks good liners and 2 more bolts. No problem, Im not bitching

We will be OK, I dont do this to NOT learn Im paving the way for you stock LS7 block guys

Lucky for us, were not doing this all on pump fuel. That would then be an issue

Its still in a state of disassembly going over the final details. Ill post pics before I leave today

Thanks Jim, I think I would still be on the dyno if it wasnt for you

For those interested in the fuel system- Fits C6s only at this point.
