Default Making a list for the monte...

Hi all I'm new to the forum.... Well im going to make a list for the 07 monte ss so far all ive got is AFR 205cc Heads, hp tuner, K&N intake, Flowmaster 40's and cams, but i dont know which cams to use i would definitely prefer non-DOD lsx style but i dont recall if the hp tuner can remove afr? so right now i want to know if anyone has any cam preferences? also if the hp tuner doesnt remove dod what does? and finally if anyone has more or better suggestions on parts i definitely would be willing to look around some more? Thanks...

hp tuners can disable DOD, and if your making a wish list don't forget.. 1.8"rockers, ported intake and tb, 3" downpipe.. Also don't forget your transmission it will need to be upgraded as you go alone.

if you do a cam swap you have a lot in store for ya heh.

I'm runnin a TR 224/224 112 cam, HS 1.7 rockers, comp cams lifters, push rods, retainers, 918 springs.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/327734-cam-guide.html
that will give ya a lot of info cam wise, all I can tell ya is do a lot of google searching about the cam, sound clips ect for what ya might like.

I can tell ya on my 07 Imp I had a ls2 cam single thru bolt style stock, the 06 gen guys have ls1/ls6 3 bolt mount. I didn't know this until I had the front cover off and went wtf asking the guys here what the hell was going on. A conversion cam gear was found thanks to the guys here and was a life saver.

Do a lot of searching before you ask question because there prob is a answer somewhere for it, if ya don't find what your looking for then feel free to ask, the guys here are pretty willing to help providing you did your homework.

if you're going to spend all that money.. i would make the modifications for the new weiand intake instead of porting the stock manifold. also you could figure something out dealing with headers haha. good luck

As StealthV8 mentioned, better do something about the tranny too...

if ya got enough money, you can make the engine put out whatever you want, but the tranny's gonna go *BOOM*...

Ah yes, the mythical Street Warrior. I wonder if it will ever actually make it to the market?

If the Jegs website is to be believed, much better pricing than the FAST.

Will this head work without any modification?
http://www.airflowresearch.com/205_mongoose.php

and will that street warrior intake fit without mods as well?
