Re: chrome/polished STB
Polishing.. No.. the BMR units are steel and dont lend well to polshing. You should be able to chrome either that one or the Hotchkis on for about $100.
The new Hotchkis ones are aluminum and come polished (for $$$).. the regular ones are powder painted alum so it would be a pain to stip the powder off to polish.
I reccomend chome. Less hassle in the long run
Hope this helps.

Thanks Steve, I'm sure no one knows better then you. I guess I'll get it chromed, but not for a while, it's the SLP one by the way, Thanks.

Steve: hate to prove you wrong, but you are in regards to the polishing. I have the old style corsa tips that are steel that are high polished and recently have had them touched up and repolished.

BTW before chroming the peice should be completely polished to begin with. I've had peices that are steel done before such as the caliper mounting brackets.

You can also do the "most expensive" rout and get the polished Hotchkis and then think to yourself, self, it's not shiny enough, then go get IT CHROMED.....note the slaping sound on ones forehead and buy CHEAP......THEN get it chromed, because after all, it doesn't get any brighter than chrome......
