what mods can be done to a stock S/C 3.8 V6?
hey guys i was just wondering what kind of mods can be done to a stock S/C3.8 V6 FWD to acheive 400Hp and maintain block integrity? i want a daily driver that can be taken to the drags on the weekend without causing too many problems. Also, what kind of tranny should i put with this setup? and what should the gear ratio be? anything you can give me on this will help a lot.....

checkout clubgp.com .... i used to have a 98 gtp, ran 14.6 stock with bald tires and 115k miles. to hit 400hp you would def need a diff supercharger along with an intercooler, a cam, headers, and all the boltons. if you really want 400hp you should turbo it to be honest

what is a butt mount? ive never heard of it. i want to make a frankeinstein malibu.....i have a 97 malibu with a 3.1 V6 powering it right now but i would like scary power added to "my baby." I know a V8 will be easier to do but i would rather make something unique to me rather than something more general ya know wat i mean? a lot of ppl are telling me to put a GTP 3.8 S/C motor in......but what i want to know is if 400hp is achievable with the stock block or will i have to use a different/special block to make that happen? bolt-on stuff should be pretty easy to do but i need specs for a trusted S/C, intercooler, etc that are going to last and not break easily.....

the L67/L32 (S/C) blocks are superior to the L36/L26 (NA) as they use different rods and a few other changes but im not sure off the top of my head, the stock L67 block will take 400 horse all day long, i concour with the turbo set up, just get a NA manifold, cam, injectors, pump, they make turbo systems for these cars and lastly hp tuners to tune it and 400 is def possible check out fullthrottlev6.com you be helped there instead of hounded for working with 2 less cylinders, at least its still a GM guys...

how much would a good turbo setup cost? How much for a S/C setup? what are the pros and cons of each system? which is utimately better for dragstrip?
does anyone know of a good performing automatic tranny that will work with the 3.8 V6?
