Default True Duals Question..

i havent really read anything on this settup.. it crossd my mind last night when i was setting up a parts list to order in the next few weeks... on my 95 z28 do you think it would sound good with pacesetter lt's to an x pipe with 2 lm2 mufflers? i havent heard of this settup yet and was just kind of curious

i have pace setter long tubes with true duals. it sounds great. it does however, scrape a little bit on uneven surfaces. if you want to buy a kit that will work with a little cutting, tsp makes a true dual kit for ls1's. i know it fits with minor cutting and a little bending of the exhaust hangers.

True duals is just the way to go!
I get compliments all the time on the way it sounds.. you will like the performance gain also, just remember this,if you are a mildly modded Lt1(small cam etc.) you DO NOT need 3" duals 2-1/2 will work the best...........

go for it man! and like these guys said 2.5" is plenty unless you make some crazy power. and it will save you a little money too. for mufflers i like dynomax bullets or the magnapacks.

I'd say go with some knock-off Flowmaster single chambers off ebay. Here's how it sounds with those. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9...ust_192864.htm

That setup above looks friggin great, why does no one offer this as a set of prebent pipes, which anyone could hook up to the LT of their choice, add whatever mufflers for the straight section and then add tips to the ends? Couldn't a decent exhaust shop get the bends entered in to a computer system somehow to just keep making the same setup? What did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

I have duals after Pacesetters dumped at the rearend.
I hate it. Loud in the car. In the way of my torque arm. Can't just put tail pipes out the back. Mufflers are a worry that low.
I've had 6 other 4th gen cars, all single pipe cat back/dual tail pipes.
I'd like to see a 12 second car run a good y-pipe/cat back that is street friendly and low cost. Swap on a dual header back, X-pipe and tail pipes.
Will the car actually go faster?
Probably gain dead weight with the extra pipes and not much if any power..don't know. A 4" Mufflex y-pipe into a 3 or 3.5" straight pipe into a good cross muffler with 2.5" tail pipes is likley good down to mid 11 second rides.
Anyone want my duals - bring your y-pipe and cat back to my garage ans swap them and it's yours.

i vote duals all the way...i have pacesetter LT's, summit xpipe and bullets dumped at the rear. i love it. it sounds awesome way better then any ORY setup. i get compliments all the time on it. however it does hang lower then stock and scrape on big speed bumps and such. i also went with 3in pipe instead of the usual 2 1/2 so that also adds to the ground clearence issue. but all in all its totally streetable.
