Headers Or Nitrous
So i decided to sell my 68 chevelle and i am getting a decent amount for it, and some will be going into my car.
I do not want to spend all of it on my car right now since i am in college so i have to settle for one Nice mod to my car for now.
1 choice is Pacesetter or Maybe hooker long tubes with a Catted Y pipe, with dual cut outs after the cats on the y pipe, Or possibly a true dual all the way back with the catted long tubes.
Or
a nice 75-150 Nitrous kit, probably HSW's kit. Still debating between wet plate or nozzle kit. I would run a 120 shot and maybe a 150 shot for some nice dyno numbers and a couple nice time slips.
I possibly will end up with both eventually but for now i will only get to order one for my thanksgiving break. What do you guys think.

NITROUS! you will have fun with the nitrous. if you go bigger than a 125 shot i would retard a lil timing and change plugs 1deg. colder.(just to be safe) but deff. get headers as the mod after the nitrous.

well i figured it would be better to ask someone who is knowledgeable in nitrous, rather than someone who does not know about it at all.
I like the idea of headers first due to the power all the time, it gives it a nicer sound and the power you do gain is CONSTANT, While nitrous the power may not be constant but i will gain at lease 5 times the power. so its hard to say what i should get first. So i just wanted some opinions on people who already had to deal with this same question.

**** Headers.... If you want to go fast on the cheap, THE ONLY OPTION is Nitrous.
Make sure its a nice, comprehensive kit, with all of the safety measures, and you will be flogging corvettes and Cobras for years to come.

If this was the last thing you were planning on doing, I would go nitrous. Since you have more mods planned, I think headers would be the right decision for now and would give you better results for you money when you decide to spray. That being said, you should look for the best deal on both products and buy whatever you can get the best deal on. If a sponsor has a killer deal on spray take advantage of it. Same for headers.

um, lets think about this.
#1 headers: painted off road pacesetters $263. ory $150 o2 extenders $40, total $553 for a 20HP gain if your lucky. but its there and dosen't need to be refilled. a whopping 15-20HP.
#2 nitrous: super easy dry kit $225 bottle fill $45
total $270 125HP and refill bottle every couple of months.
