Wheels & Tires - Red WS6... Chrome or Black wheels?

I've got the stock 17" chrome WS6 5-spoke wheels. They look awesome, don't get me wrong. I'm going back and forth whether I should keep them or go with something else. When I think of the "go with something else" idea, then I'm torn whether to go with chrome or black. I've looked through many threads at other members Red firebirds and T/As to get a feel for what looks good. Sometimes I like the chrome better, sometimes I like the black. I'm afraid that I'll pull the trigger, buy a set, then get tired of them after a bit and wish I went another route... This however is an expensive decision.

FWIW, there was a site I checked out one time, but I can't remember the name to save my life... I think it was Torx(?) Anyone know the site? They had a set that was awesome... I'll try to find it and post a pic.

chrome always looks good, but i think black can also look decent too. My car has TT2s but i thought i would put my roommates black ZR1s on to see what it would look like

Chrome!!

i think chrome wheels look awhole lot better on red car's then what black wheels do.

I have Black TTMs on my Red WS6. Ill snap a couple pics tomorrow in the daylight for you. Im REALLY happy with how they turned out...and I got the set (17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear) for $600 shipped to me brand new.

IMO, black looks good if you have some other black accents, but if not then CHROME all the way.

How about black chrome? That would look good on red.

They both look good, it really depends on what kind of wheels you want. I give Chrome the edge though.

Im not a fan of black wheels personally. Chrome has a cleaner look.

Yeah, I do think chrome POPS a bit more on a Red car. Do you all think something with a skinny 5-spoke looks better than say something with a bunch of "webbing", for lack of a better description, in the middle of the wheel? I really like something a bit more thicker than the stoke wheel, I think it gives it more of a MUSCLE car look.

Simple five spoke looks much cleaner IMO.

I'm going black ones. I plan on getting some stock C6 wheels and powder coating them flat black. Use you're stockers during the winter, that's what I'm going to do. Then you have both! lol.

I posted a thread asking for views on Red+Black or Red+Chrome Wheels.

Look it up and check out the rims.

Chrome is better IMO. Black is just so plain, and makes the car look too "strictly race"-ish.


And since everyone knows red is the best color in the whole world..:nod:EVER:nod:...put chrome and red together.:D

chrome definately. I rarely see black wheels that look good on one of our cars. And black w/ polished lip is :barf: makes the wheels look tiny.

I think red cars look good with either. Don't like the polished lip on the black rims though, they have to be all black if you are going that route.

That's my ride in the pic.:D All I can tell you is that everyone that has seen them young and old really like them.Also there not black there hyperblack so you get a little of both worlds.

Here ya go...I plan on putting black "Trans Am" logos and a blackbird stipe on the hood also.
