Default oil pressure high at idle

setup; H/C forged 347

oil pressure is around 60 at rough idle (just started for first time) around 2k rpms.

just thought this seems a little high.
oil; regular conventional castrol 5w-30 w/ a fram oil filter

Did you add a melling high volume pump? I have an LPE high volume high pressure pump and i get 75psi at a cold idle of 700rpms and pegs my autometer gauge at 100psi by 2000rpm cold. You're not going to hurt anything.

My stocker pushes about that much on startup. Once it warms up it will come down to 40 PSI at idle, 60 at cruise.

Thats normal for 2k rpm. My ported Z06 oil pump pushes 60psi cold at 1000rpm and 45psi warm.

as long as your pressure relief is operating as designed then no problem. my car has 123,000 m and runs at 50 at idle. runs at like 65 or 70 at cruise.
