Nice Dinner + Bottle of Wine = New Camaro
I have some great news. Last night, I took my wife out to a nice restaurant and then a show. Afterwards, we were driving home (in my Camaro) and I was talking cars. She typically tunes me out but this time it was different. I was talking talking about replacing her Saturn with a brand new car. Before I could tell her what I wanted to replace it with (my idea was a newer V6 Impala) SHE came up with the brilliant idea of getting a new V6 Camaro. I was thinking about pitching the idea to her but didn't want to ruin the night. I told her it was the greatest idea that she'll ever have. I tried to sell the SS version, but the price kind of makes it prohibitive for us. Oh well, I can't wait to place my order for a 5th gen Silver Ice Camaro. The moral of the story- a nice dinner and bottle of wine can go a long way in changing a woman's mind!

Silver is my color
I've heard this before, but every car or truck I buy is silver- I love them. My favorite colors are black and white, but they show way too much dirt and imperfections imo.

My wife told me she wants a new V6 Camaro. I told her she wouldn't be able to pass on a SS and she agreed LOL. So I guess we are getting her a black SS in the next few years. I'm waiting for a vert.

bad thing about going fast
I was hoping she would go for an SS, but oh well. I already spoiled that when she came to the dragstrip for the first time and saw my '98 Z28 (for sale right now) pick up the front tires. She asked me how much horse it had and I told her that horsepower was a number for people that don't go to the dragstrip. She prodded and so I told her somewhere around 400 (stock motor with 150 spray). When she heard me talking about the new Camaro SS being around 420 horses, she flipped. She now thinks EVERY 400 horse car can pull the fronts up and run 7.40's. Oh well, I guess I screwed myself there. Anywho, I really wouldn't want her to DD a 420 horse car. It scares me enough when she drives mine around... and turns me on at the same time

I tried selling my girl on a V6 5th gen because she wants a fun car. I was hoping for a red or red jewel RS vert but she really wants a solstice. She's more into the 2 seater small sports car thing, her last car was a mini. I guess I can try the bottle of wine and a nice dinner thing again. But she did let me place my order on my black SS/RS.

Thats how women are your money is their money and their money is their money lol. I will buy my wife a new SS, but she knows I will drive it as much as her so it is really for both of us. By saying that it is hers it leaves me open to buy a Z28 or a convertible later lol.

Yep, her car.... gotta know how to spin it. I travel a great deal so I never take my 3/4 Chevy on those trips...I take her car for "gas mileage."
Though I've never once complained about mileage or the cost of gas (company reimburses me) to her. Next year I'll be running for a public office near you!!
There's no reason for this face; I'm just looking forward to Quantum of Solace on Friday.
