01 camaro 138xxx miles been having a ticking sound that increases with rpms for a few weeks... first cpl days it went away once warmed up then it was always there... i was thinging lifters... i changed all lifters and pushrods... no change... my mechanic is thinking worn out cam... im just not feeling it... car drives good just the damned ticking.... i dont have my own video of it but heres one on youtube that sounds identical... plllllz help fellas..

So the heads have been pulled off the engine before?
Replace the check valves in the AIR tubes. These can create a ticking noise. If you're not familiar with them, this is what they look like however yours are more than likely black in color..
A leakdown test would also be a good idea to make sure no valves are bent.

already checked the AIR system... sorry didnt mention it before.... could it still be a lifter issue?....maybe one still has air in it?.... or is my cam fukd...lol
