i have a gm performance high volume ls6 that i used on my h/c car my stroker will already come with one, ill take $70 shipped for it, has 300 miles

i know reg ls1 pumps wear out and lose pressure, this one is where a normal ls1/ls6 pump would be pressurewise maybe 5psi more, i would b more worried about volume then pressure, if u want 80psi of oil pressure you can always just buy the oil pressure spring

I was just going to say that. I am looking for volume as long as the pressures go up a bit as well. How much more oil do these flow?
I have a 05 LQ4 and Im assuming it has a stock LS1 pump but if it has something else, someone please enlighten me. thanks

I have a Lingenfelter Oil Pump...brand new, in the box....only opened the box to look at it.. Lingenfelter Part Number L200135297..

Lingenfelter LS1 oil pump That part number oil pump flows a little over 30% more flow for the same pump/engine RPM as the stock LS1/LS6/LS2 oil pumps.
The stock LS1/LS6/LS2 oil pumps have a displacement of 0.95 in^3/revolution while that pump has a displacement of 1.26 in^3/revolution.
Assuming you have everything we normally supply in that pump kit in the box you should have the high pressure spring installed in the pump and the standard pressure spring as an additional oil pressure control valve spring loose in the box. You should also have the replacement O-rings (one for the car applications and one for the truck applications).
Some companies sell what they call a GM high volume LS6 pump that is really just a stock LS1/LS6/LS2 pump (all the same gear set). Part of the confusion comes from the fact that the GM Performance parts catalog had a pump listed as a high volume LS6 pump that was actually just a stock LS1/LS6/LS2 pump but with a different part number (probably because it included the O-ring set and was in a different box).
As a side note, the Melling 10295 pump has the same displacement as the stock LS1/LS2/LS6 pump (0.95 in^3/revolution) but uses a different pressure control valve spring so it has slightly different base and full open pressure levels. The Melling 10296 pump flows roughly 18% more than the stock LS1/LS2/LS6 pump (and the Melling 10295 pump).

do you have any pictures of a 296 pump jason? i have a random oil pump in my garage i acquired from some horse trading and on the back it has "296" stamped in it, but im not sure if its a melling or what. my melling 295 pump that i bought new, that i know is a melling has an "M295" stamped in the back on the opposite side. i just want to know if this mystery oil pump is a melling 296 or just some random pump.

296 pump I don't have a picture that would allow you to tell the difference but if you measure the diameter and thickness of the gerotor set inside the pump you should be able to tell if it is a stock volume pump or a higher volume 296 pump.

Melling pump fitment We have never seen that, at least not with a standard timing chain. If you are trying to run a double roller timing chain then the higher volume pumps (the Melling 296 and the GM pump) won't fit. With a single row chain the Melling pumps fit without any modifications needed (as does the 30% higher volume GM pump we sell).
