Default magnacharger mp112

Hello, does anyone know how much power the maggie mp112 will support. I have a built ls1 now but I am looking to build a forged 6.0 with really good heads and a maggie with about 10lbs of boost and was wondering if the 112 would be enough. I am not going to turn it any more than about 6500. Let me know what you think. Thanks Joe

I'd say contact callaway because i thought they were capable of a little more than that. If not you could always step up to the mp122

122 is good for another 70hp or so at the same rotor speed. The 112 may be capable of more then 600fwhp but it will be moving very hot air. We dyno lots of of LS engines with them and they can stay below 150 degree IAT's below 500whp after that then they keep getting hotter and hotter after every pull no matter how big the heat exchanger. People that sell them will tell you how they are good for 1000hp lol.

Testing one in the dunes on a 5.3l truck we seen IAT's in the 200-220 degree range after a few 300-500ft races w/ the 112. This was a ls6 head style 5.3l at 9.9:1 compression with stock size crank pulley an 3" blower pulley. Long tubes and dual 3" open exhaust. Outside temps were about 85-90 degrees and IATs at cruise would be about 110.

Another 5.3l with a 122 and the same pulley combo would not go above 160-170.

Has anyone tried to port the blower to decrease the restrictions and decrease the air temps that way. I saw that the gt500 and the terminator guys do that to increase power. And since there would be more volume it shoudn't have to spin as hard to make the same power and in return should cool the temps down. And also I would assume that you could use meth injection to help with the temps and fuel enrichment as well. What do you think? Thanks Joe

Didnt they just come out with the tvs 1900 for cathedral port heads?

Edit: You can get a tvs 1900 for trailblazers next week-ish.

We're going to be installing a hybrid TVS/2300 combo on a new Hummer H2 once we build up the 6.2 litre engine. The Hummer H2 is scheduled to arrive this week, and is getting built for a customer in Saudi Arabia. Bob

Well since the availability is limited I could just use the L92 heads in my build, could the tvs1900 or 2300 fit the f-body then?

well I have done a little poking around on the magnacharger website and it seems that the the tvs units with the high flow base is about 3/4 to 1 inch taller than the mp112 with the same manifold. I would think you should still be able to fit it under the cowl with just a slightly bigger clearence box area, and the wipers should still stay in the same place without relocating since that is the whole problem in the first place.
