Default bent torque arm

hey anyone had problems bending the rear of a tq arm? trying to post pics now. m6 car with 4.30's all mtr pass on mt drag radial broke 1350 series u-joint,3.5" driveshaft and bent frame mount tq arm. -4 deg pin angle car makes 429hp/417tq

with that much power to the rear wheels you need to get a tunnel brace!!! you shouldnt be running stock!!

I broke the stock one I had off the Rearend..one of the Bolts fell out and it decided to rip off the Rear just down the road from my house.

That pinion angle is a bit much. Your rear was probably in a bind. I run mine at -2.

the torgue arm is a spohn fully adjustable frame mount piece. i had rpm check the pin angle but i thought it was a lil much also.

I thought in Spohn's directions they recommend not going beyond -3. Wish I still had the directions laying around, but I seem to remember them stating -3 was for slick tired high power cars, and that anything beyond was going to be counter productive. You killed a badass driveshaft and torque arm, something is wrong.

i was running a 15"bogart welded rt with a 10.5 slick a while back when i installed the tq arm but never had a problem. it may have bent then and just noticed it when everything broke. still trying to get pics on here

I run the same torque arm at -2 pinion angle.... car has been 1.38 lifting to keep the front end down.... leaving on the trans brake at 4K... never had an issue......

ppl have told me the spohn torque arm will bend if my car hooks...... it's been on the bumper hard with zero flex in the torque arm.. I'm trying my hardest to bend it but no dice yet...

I think your pinion angle was too much. no need for that much negative angle.... you need shock adjustments if it don't hook at negative 2....
