Default Draglite owners inside

Ok, so if you have mounted 15x8 Draglites on your 98-02' f-body with stock LS1 calipers I'd like to see some pics of the caliper after grinding please. I'm getting a set off a buddy & I'd like to see what I'm in for. I have heard the 15x8's require slightly less grinding to fit than the 10's. I'm plannin on running a 275/60/25 MT on them.

Pics are greatly appreciated along with fitment advice. This will be the first set of drag wheels I have ever owned. And I can't find very much stuff with the search for Draglites. Way more Prostar, new Welds & bogart postings, so any help and advice is appreciated for this specific wheel.

Your 10 bolt wont like this mod!!!!Seach wil prolly help you, pics will be in there for sure too.Not a really big deal with the 15x8 just a little bit of grinding. My 15x10 were a little more work, bumpstops were cut out and a little hammerin.

I did search & everything I found mentioned the 15x8 Draglites reguiring less grinding that even a 15x8 Prostar, I'm guessin thats b/c of the backside of the wheels design as far as spokes vs solid with holes??

I'm planning a Midwest Chassis 9" by the time I get ready to run these, so the 10-bolt won't ever have to worry, LOL.

I was hoping you had something in the works!!You are gonna have to test fit the rim,and grind down the caliper were it touches. Not a big deal,it not compromising the caliper integrity. On my setup i rounded off the caliper face and corners as well as the top.Just grind untill the desired clearence is achieved.

grind till you think you almost have it... spray a thin thin thin coat of black spray paint over it, just enough to cover caliper.. put rim on.. spin and see where it is still hitting.. and then grind more, repeat process till no more grinding...

o and grind more than you think you need to off... i have had to take mine off twice and regrind, once you take your rims off one time and put them back on, they will probably grind again..

grind grind grind grind grind... lol

good luck

Does the 10" require more grinding than the 8" wide wheel?

i dont know about that... use spacers though... the thicker the spacer, the less grinding..

I put masking tape on my calipers, and where ever it tore the masking tape, I grinded.

side note: now would be a good time to do your brakes, because whenever you put new(er) pads on, it will push the calipers out, towards the wheel more. And you will have to grind more.

From what I have seen, there is a pretty good amount of Grinding. I have seen some people switch the back Brakes to the LT1's..there isn't a whole lot to grind with them, took me about 5 minutes.

This is what I was told by Weld: Spacers are not recommended on the rear due to the high loads on drag wheels.
