TSB for vibration?
Anyone know if there is a TSB for the vibration people are having above 50 mph? I had this in the summer, rebalance didnt help. Now i run 17" GM wheels and snow tires and it still does the same thing. Thanks.

No ISS to my knowledge is the intermediate steering shaft. Was clunking bad on my moms 06 Impala. Her 2000 Monte ss did the same thing but they also had cradle issues back then. So for my 06 Monte 32,xxx miles is ok.

haha, have fun with that! seriously, its a pain in the ***....there are no real fixes for it like what was said before. i took GM to court over this, they couldnt fix it and couldnt replace my car because it was used so they offered me a small settlement.
from what i'v read, the only real way to fix it is aftermarket rims......not too sure why.....im starting to wonder if its not the different sized wheels from front to back.
if you got the car new, demand a replacement car because this problem wont go away.....make a huge stink at the dealership until you get what you want or they will try to take you to the cleaners. (i went through all that crap)

I had a vibration in my steering wheel at 60+ i thought it was just a unbalanced tire so i blew it off. After i had my car in for the "clicking" and knocking noises in the front end they replaced the IIS , Engine Cradle , Steering rack , and bushings and now i have 0 vibration in my steering wheel.

I got the vibration in my car. It's a chassis isolation/harmonic issue with no apparent fix. And now my damn tranny has a vibration in it when it downshifts from 2nd to 1st. I'm so pissed with this car and GM. Phucking NO help from anybody or they don't even care.

Some of the 2-1 downshift vibration i experience is the DOD still being active and its the motor in 4 cyl mode (dragging the other 4 pistons along). My old 3.1 monte had a vibration when i slowed down when it would miss on one cylinder cause it was junk. One cylinder ate plugs ever year. Plug still looked great though.
