Default Y-Pipe struggle and questions!!! pics

I tried to install my pacesetter Y-pipe today and thought I did a decent job until I tried to put some parts back on. I cannot get the passenger side hanger to even come close to linging up with the bracket on the y pipe!!! I also cannot get the brace thing to clear the y pipe where its suppossed to connect to the cat back!! any ideas? can I just leave this off, because the y pipe itself is as stable as can be

The ground clearenace looks fine to me. Like I said, the y-pipe is strong and looks to be even.

Here is the passenger side hanger, it doesnt even come close to lining up as you can see.

and this "brace" hits on the y-pipe collector and can be put back on! did I do something wrong or can I just leave all this off?!?

When I had Pacesetter LT's and ORY I just ditched both the bracket and cross brace. My Jet-Hot Y that I had with my Jet-Hot LT's didnt even have a bracket to connect to the bracket on the car. IMO you don't need either I haven't ran either one in 4 years on 2 cars.

Its a common problem, I have ran mine off with no problems. I did use spacers and put the cross brace back in, but it's not needed.

Don't worry about it, 2 1/2 years and counting here with no problems.

i put the side hanger in the from the other direction and made it work like that. had the tunnel brace on for the first week but got tired of hearing it and the y-pipe make a growling noise so i pulled it off.

you could just put washers under the tunnel brace if you feel the need to have it.

yeah ditch the bracket and brace, if it starts tapping anything, just weld the joints on the y-pipe and y-pipe to catback, it shouldnt move, mine hasnt yet.

no i was talking abou the tunnel brace that runs under everything lol. yeah the other bracket just get rid of. or do what i did and fab something up. i welded a plate with a nut welded to it to the under belly of the car and bolted a hanger through it. worked out real nice. just make sure you take the carpets out or severe burning will occur
