Fast cars in bad weather.
I thought I was crazy driving the cobra in the weather we have lately until I pass a c6 z06. How many of you guys DD your fast cars during the winter?

I noticed the same thing the last few days, a lot of nice cars on the road in this sucky weather. Not that you guys can't drive and all, it's the other idiots I'm worried about.
That's why I'm glad I have my POS DD.

My car isn't what I'd consider fast, but with a mild 408 build its plenty torquey. Its also an M6 w/ 3.89 gears and I drive it daily on Nitto DR's.
It was fun washing it today. At least it was warm.

You are a braver man than I. At least my cobra is relatively stock so it's not too bad.

It actually handles the weather better than it did when stock. IMO thats in part to improved geometry in the rear.
I drove RWD V8 cars in snow and ice in NW and NE OK. I drove my current car in snow up there too. When I lived in Houston I had a 70 SS w/ 4.11's and a spool that I drove daily. You just have to take it careful. Don't make any drastic maneuvers or get too heavy on the gas or brakes. Our cars have light rear ends and if you're not careful it'll come around you in stock trim with all season tires.

Don't listen to what greed4speed says. He drives like an old man. He could drive on ice in a TT Z06 with slicks and still be ok. lol j/k dude.
I DD my car. Bolt ons with Nitto DRs. Plus a shift kit, and not to mention my ASR doesn't work since I don't have the correct rear end in my car... I caught myself before I fell in the ditch the other day. I was going 25mph under the speed limit and hit a patch of ice.
