Hey, new member again So my boyfriend is a major car freak and i need help learning more about his hobby 
He has a Camaro 1995 z28. Ha thats pretty much all i know

Ok.. So his car is in pieces and awaiting an ls3. I recently learned that from a c6 vette. I thought it was from a truck or something. But obviously it sounds like it would be better then an ls1, what I don't understand is why? Will the camaro go faster with this motor in?

His 95 Z28 has a LT1 motor in it, correct me if Im wrong but it ranged from 275-285hp stock. If your BF took you out on a spin and floored it, it was sure to be a fast ride. Now he is currently waiting to install a LS3 which is in the current C6 and that is rated at 430 hp roughly 380 to the wheels after accessory loss in stock form. and I don't think it will stay like that for long.

Yes yes he was talking about 430 hp but what do you mean by 380 to the wheels?

torque................ by the guy above ment the motor makes 430 hp but whenever you put a tranny on it and a rearend you lose a lot of power which makes you only make 380 hp because of what it takes to get the wheels turn.. if that makes any sense??

I'm still lost about the torque. What does it do? But everything else makes sense thank you!
Yes I'm very interested in learning. I think since I work with him on it I might as well understand a little more about it then just the things he teaches me.
