Getting rid of flow master!
I'm getting rid of my weld in flowmaster and replacing it with a hooker catback.Anybody have a hooker system, and if you do how do you like it. Is it even worth getting the catback or should I just stick with a cutout?

I disagree.
The Magnaflow is Stainless which is nice, but the Aerochamber muffler flows more cfm (I've tested them both).
For the money, the Hooker CB is the best CB on the market, bar none. It flows better than ALL of the $600+ catbacks, and the entire rear section can be dropped also for racing at the track to save weight.

i had one on my car with LT's ORY and it was loud and kinda obnoxious and i loved it. i sold it to a friend and he had a different brand of LT's and ORY and it was a lot calmer, and very mellow and smooth. guess the LT brands had something to with it, the only thing i can figure.

I had the hooker catback on my old Z with pacesetter LT's and an ORY with a cut-out in the I-pipe. With the cut out closed it was very quiet at idle with a little rumble to it. It has a great sound at cruising speeds and sounds like a race-car at WOT.
With the cut-out open everything was louder just with a little more rasp.
Over all i was very happy with the Hooker system and highly reccomend it for a y-pipe/cat-back setup.
